Sobbing Hunny from

I’m in history class right now, but not really in the mood to take notes on the book report about Fasting.  It’s interesting though, it’s about how food and feasting and Eucharist and everything has a religious meaning and how the importance of food starts with Even taking food from the Tree of Knowledge and ends with Jesus being born without the stain of the original sin.  It’s particularly important for women.  But enough about that.  Today is election day and it’s sort of pissing me off.  I know that today is an important day and it defines how our country will be run for the next four years, but my school is so blatantly pro-Obama that it’s annoying.  Political smothering is one of the many reasons why I never considered going to Berkeley (the one in California, when I say that my friends are at Berkeley people around here seem to think I’m referring to the music school in Boston).

I felt guilty so I wound up taking notes on the book report >.>

Anyways, I posted “Love Hurts” (aka “Cunning WIP”) on ff.net at midnight yesterday and by an hour later when I went to bed it already had thirty hits!  W00T!  Now approximately 24 hours later it has four reviews, two favorites, one story alert (even though it’s a one shot…), and 111 visitors from 24 countries.  I’ve never even heard of Estonia…  As Gabriela says Eyeshield 21has a very wide fanbase and I cannot help but agree.  Malaysia, Guam, Australia, Poland, and Slovenia are some examples of the wide variety o_O  Of course the good ‘ole USA has the most hits (60) but still, so many countries is more than a little cool.  I am very much liking the “Story Traffic” feature :D  I’m more glad though that I got any reviews.  “Irony” the last story I put up gets quite a few hits considering I put it up over a year ago, but no one has ever reviewed it and it is my great shame to know that.  So the fact that this story has not one but four reviews makes me very very happy.  And the story alert makes me giggle.

The election however makes me very very sad.  I sort of knew that Obama was going to win from beforehand, but I never gave up the hope that McCain would win.  So much for that.  It was a massacre @_@  At Pendleton West (one of the buildings in the academic quad) everyone was so pro-Obama it was disturbing.  When walking through the building in the morning I couldn’t go a single foot without seeing his logo or a picture of him.  The papers were literally wall to wall then I went to the science center and the whole thing was decorate in blue streamers saying “voting day” rather obvious who we’re supposed to vote for -_-  It really pissed me off.  So tonight there was a “party” in Pendleton West for people to eat, drink, and be merry when watching the televised results of the election as they came in.  It started at 7:30 and I got there at around 8:30 and left at 10:30 very unhappy.  I walked in the door and saw two things that made me very sad.  The first was that McCain was already losing by a lot and the second was that Texas was blue yes I said that right.  Texas was leaning towards Obama.  I was appalled that such a Republican state could ever even considering being anything but.  So immediately my focus became focused solely on Texas.  Apparently is was projected to be towards Obama at the time because of the large Latino vote D:<  Like Hell!  Texas has no right to be anything but Republican!  As the votes came in strongly conservative states wound up borderline and some were even Democratic.  It was a horrible horrible sight and there was no one to comfort me because there was only a handful of Red in a sea of Blue.  Luckily my dad called when I was there and after hearing everyone cheer at the Blue Ohio I escaped to a stairwell to vent about my political woes.  He completely agreed with me, (hey I had to become a Republican from somewhere) and yeah.  At that point it was nearing 10 and I was getting tired and everyone around me and Gabriela was getting drunk so I hung on until 10:30 (by then it was projected that Texas would be Red, but I was still paranoid) but it still wasn’t done tallying the votes so I just left and then played zOMG for another hour >.>  Making the day’s playing a total of three hours and totally ruining any attempts I planned to study chemistry.

On the plus side I decided how I’m planning on celebrating my birthday and decided on what I’m going to do for NaNoWriMo.  I’m not crazy enough to actually do the thing but instead I want to have thirty livejournal posts (it’s apparent that I can’t do one per day since I already missed a few) and to write 10,000 words of fiction in general.  I’m at about 1k right now because the JyuuxSena fic was around 500 words and I started the first 500 words of the short story for Writer’s Circle (which everyone should join).  I’ve pretty much decided exactly how I want the story to go and mentally wrote the entire ending (which I was going to put up tonight but my roommate’s trying to sleep and the light from the monitor disrupts that) so I guess I’ll have to find the time to do that tomorrow.  So yeah that was my day.  Or at least the parts that stick out to me at the moment…

i was trying to read fast (okay, maybe it also has to do with the fact that it's 2:10 am right now) and instead of understanding "everyone... was getting drunk," i read "Gabriela was getting drunk" and then i was like woah :O!?!?! but then i realized i just can't read and it's way too late for me to try to read things.

i'm sorry the election made you sad, though. :( :( :(
